In establishing credibility, consistency is the main thing. Other people will trust us if we are being consistent. It is difficult for others to trust us if we have volatile principles, behavior and character.

2. Honest

This point is important to have. Be a person who tells the truth, instead of covering up with lies. Remember, once we lie for the rest of our lives people can distrust us. Be very careful with your honesty.

3. Show Appropriate Appearance, Attitude and Behavior

In communicating, it is important for us to pay attention to how gestures and posture, hand movements, how to dress, how to shake hands, smile and other things that can give non-verbal messages.

4. Have and Stick to Principles

For people to respect us, everyone needs to have principles. The principles we hold do not make us easily swayed by other people’s opinions. Demonstrate that you have strong beliefs that are worth defending.

5. Dare to be Straightforward

Don’t be a shy person or a back talker. Speak frankly, as it is and clearly. This point is important to have in building credibility. People who are honest are usually easier to be respected by others, rather than just submitting to the situation. If there are strengths and weaknesses, just tell your interlocutor.
