*A note of gratitude for birthdays

Happy Birthday to Me. Happy birthday to myself. I pray that your life and mine will always be filled with blessings and happiness.

Birthdays, as always, are an opportunity to go back in time, to repeat the journey of life to date. How great is the blessing of Allah SWT for all the opportunities given. I always think why I am still given the opportunity until now. Apparently, the process of searching is the answer. So the answer is not the end result, but the process itself is the answer. 

There are some answers that I am increasingly internalising within myself, these answers may be different from what you have discovered.

Firstly, live in the moment. We cannot deny that the past often haunts our life journey. The anxiety of the future makes us always worried. In the end, we may forget that what we are living today, why should we bother with what will happen, even the fear of the future often does not happen. Therefore, yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift (so we call it present).

Secondly, don’t depend your happiness on something outside of yourself. This journey of life gives us the meaning that we will be happy if we do not depend on objects, attitudes and actions of others. Don’t make your happiness based on things outside your control. Put your happiness on your thoughts, your attitude and your actions. You will be able to be happy. 

Third, keep growing. In adult life, growing is the responsibility of each person. Other people will not be concerned about you. Make yourself a figure who is constantly thirsty to learn and upgrade yourself, be it in terms of mindset, knowledge or skills. Make yourself a never-ending learner. 

These are some notes as a celebration and gratitude for today that I have reached this point in life. For you my lovely people, keep supporting me so that I can be a person who is useful for others and in accordance with the wishes of God, the Creator of our lives.
